8:45-9:00 - Meet at the helicopter to head out for another awesome day of skiing & boarding*

Lunch time - A mountain picnic.  Take in spectacular views while enjoying sandwiches, soup, goodies, fruit, chocolate and hot tea.

Après  ski-  Guests return to the lodge to a welcoming array of tasty appetizers and cold beer followed by a soak in the hot tub while recounting the fun of the day.

Dinner - Always delicious!

Evening activities can vary from a game of pool, to a few beverages at the bar.  Some simply like to take a little quiet time with a book.

*Your first day of skiing will start a little later, as you will complete  your tranciever training and helicopter orientation.

Getting Fit
Heli-skiing and heli boarding is most enjoyable when you are fit. Plan to start a fitness program that includes stretching and aerobic exercises 8 to 10 weeks prior to your arrival.  You can find some helpful "get fit for skiing" tips here .

What to Bring

We recommend a one or two piece powder suit shell, with layering of thinner undergarments, warm gloves or mitts, and a helmet or warm hat.  Don't forget good quality goggles and sunglasses.  Our retail shop has a selection of undergarments, goggles, glasses and powder gloves and mitts.  We strongly suggest that you take your ski boots on the plane as carry on luggage.  We will provide you with specialized powder skis and poles.  We do not provide snowboard rentals.   Après ski attire is casual.  Don't forget your bathing suit for the hot tub.

Get here

Most guests fly to Prince George, which houses our nearest airport. Both Air Canada and WestJet provide daily nonstop service from Vancouver International Airport. PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE BEFORE BOOKING YOUR FLIGHTS.  We generally ask that guests arrive at the Prince George airport early afternoon, and book their departing flight for the morning of your outgoing day.

We offer a courtesy van transfer for your group from Prince George to our lodge at the beginning of the trip and return at the end of the package. If your travel plans do not permit you to meet the schedule of this service, you may arrange a separate transfer schedule for an additional fee.  Also, if your travel plans have you arriving in Vancouver or Prince George a day early, we have discount rates for our guests at hotels in both cities.

Travel time between Prince George and our lodge is 1 3/4 hours. Please keep this transfer time in mind when you are arranging your departure flight schedule. For those guests driving to Crescent Spur, we ask that you plan to arrive at the lodge between 3 and 5 p.m. on the first day of your adventure. We can send specific directions to Crescent Spur and the lodge upon request.

The AmenitiesThe lodge
We have a liquor license and a full service bar.   While we have a good selection of wines and liquor in stock we would be happy, with sufficient notice, to purchase specialty products if desired.  Please call our office for more information.

There is a massage therapist on staff to work on those tired muscles, as well as a large open air hot tub.  We have wireless satellite internet available... most of the time.  We are a remote lodge, and unfortunately, service is sometimes unreliable.  There are phones available for guest use.

A day of skiing or boarding out here can really build an appetite. This is an aspect of Crescent Spur that we have become known for. We love great food. Our  imaginative and wholesome meals are legendary, and can be suited to meet your particular dietary needs.  Please let us know a few weeks prior to your arrival if you have special dietary needs.

Cancellations & Insurance

For your convenience we offer cancellation insurance as an add on to the package price.  This will be offered at the time of final payment.  It will be easy and will remove the extra step you have to take to insure yourself.  If, however, you truly want to take the chance and not insure, you can opt out.  In this case you are not covered, and NO refund will be issued should you be unable to take your holiday with us, or if your holiday is interrupted due to injury or any other cause that would have been covered by the insurance company.  You may, of course also purchase your own insurance.  In the case you refuse to have CS purchase coverage on your behalf, you will be charged just the final payment amount without insurance cost.

Balance of Payment

The balance of your payment is due 16 weeks prior to your arrival date. For your convenience, we will send you a reminder 4 weeks prior to the due date. Please allow 2 weeks for postal time. YOUR RESERVATION CANNOT BE CONFIRMED UNTIL WE RECEIVE YOUR FINAL PAYMENT. PAYMENTS NOT RECEIVED BY THE DUE DATE WILL RESULT IN YOUR SPACE BEING CANCELLED.

Refund for Unused Vertical
We do not refund for days not skied. If, due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdown, you do not reach your minimum guarantee, you will be refunded at the rate of $28/1000 vertical feet. Refunds are based on the un-skied footage of the group who has skied the most during the week. We do not refund for un-skied footage if you choose to finish a day early, or if lack of fitness or ability curtails your ability to ski the amount of vertical.
