LEGENDARY SKIING and BOARDING

Some experiences are quite simply beyond description.
For the sake of this website though, we are going to try anyway.   ;-)

What do you crave?

Is it endless virgin powder? Breathtaking vistas? Or simply an adventure you'll never forget? Well, you are amongst kindred spirits.

fastCrescent Spur Heli-Skiing is a family-run operation and we cater to like-minded adventurers. Our guests have come to expect exhilarating helicopter skiing and boarding. They also appreciate the comforts of home coupled with delectable dining.

By encouraging small groups of visitors, we ensure that everyone experiences a personal and one-of-a-kind adventure... There are no crowds of tourists here. This seems to work well, as our relaxed and down-to-earth environment has earned many repeat visitors.

So, ask yourself what you desire. If it's the helicopter skiing or boarding vacation of a lifetime - we're here to make your expedition all it can be.

Snow & weather conditions / terrain

terrain conditionsWe have some brilliant days at Crescent Spur. That said, snow conditions do vary... from the very best to the very worst. While we are used to spectacular deep powder conditions, we have come to acknowledge that every day in the mountains cannot be the same.

In preparing for a visit to Crescent Spur, you must be willing to accept the possibility of difficult snow conditions. Such conditions could include crust, wind slabbed snow, or heavy snow.

We ski all types of terrain within our 1500 square mile operating area. Our standard trips include a wide variety of terrain, from open alpine bowls, to treed and gladed runs, and expansive glaciers. Runs vary in length from 1500 - 4000 vertical feet and are between 9000 and 5000 feet in elevation.

The helicopter

chopperEverything at Crescent Spur is about a quality experience and safety first. Our pilots are highly experienced in mountain flying, particularly in winter conditions, and are assisted by highly trained engineers. We hold a comprehensive helicopter safety and orientation review at the beginning of each week to give you a general understanding of the machines and safety considerations before heading out to the mountains.
