Garth is an A.C.M.G. assistant ski guide who lives and works in Jasper National Park. He has been a search and rescue Park Warden there for 15 years and ski guides on his days off. Garth specializes in search and rescue, avalanche forecasting and control, all complimenting his assistant ski guide work. Garth's main role in Jasper is to respond to mountainous rescue incidents within and outside the Park boundaries. It has been said by his co-workers that "Garth is a handy guy to have around" with many successful mountain rescues under his belt. Garth has loved the mountains since he started skiing at 4 years old on Todd Mountain (a.k.a. Sun Peaks).
In his spare time, Garth enjoys rock and ice climbing, cycling, and will be going for his full A.C.M.G. Ski Guide certification this winter.
